Just under one week after taking the Party Monarch title, today, Saturday, July 30 the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) declared Lil’ Rick the STAG Jam Tune winner, with his I’z A Bajan song being judged as the most frequently played along the Foreday Morning route.
There was a tie for second place between last year’s Party Monarch winner, Peter Ram with Good Morning and the Old Dawg, Grynner with Turn Up De Speaker. A tie for second place means that the prize monies for both the second and third place positions will be combined and shared equally between the two.
Lil’ Rick will receive $5000, the top prize in this competition, while Peter Ram and Grynner will each take home $2000.

Five years ago as a pouring rights sponsor of the Crop Over Festival, Bryden Stokes sought to further cement the company’s involvement with the Festival through the conceptualisation of the STAG Jam Tune, to recognise the most frequently played song during the Foreday Morning Jam. Their aim was to create the same kind of recognition of popular music for the Foreday Morning Jam as pertains during Grand Kadooment, and to allow the musicians and artistes to pursue another avenue for earning revenue during the Festival.
